Is it possible to download contacts avatars... it would be nice, to see avatars as chat window background.

A good idea, but technically pretty hard to implement. It is on my list but not very near the top I'm afraid. Don't rule it out though, it should come one day!

I'm working on it too (little bit), but do u have any msn technical documentations, like how these avatars are transferred between users!?

The MSN protocol that MSN for mIRC uses does not support avatar transfers, it'd need to be upgraded to at least MSNP 9 or 11.
www.hypothetic.org is a good start for MSN Messenger protocol documentation.
