what port does MSN use to connect?

i was wondering what port MSN uses to connect, so i can open the port

Main connection is 1863
Chat port is whatever the server wants it to be (mainly 1863)
File transfer is 6891

I have a win2K machine setup for Internet connection sharing. My MSN disconnects all the time and I notice in my firewall logs on my gateway machine, (zonelabs), that I'm blocking alot of pings between microsoft and myself. Mostly 1863, 7000, 7001 and there abouts. It seems so random to open them all. Any suggestions to what ports I should open and witch way, incoming or outgoing?

i opened those ports, but i cant seem to connect. this is all it says when i try to connect:

are u usin any type of router?
or are u using a differnent mIRC client?

im using a client called Excursions. the MSN addon should work, i dont know why it aint working for me
