Windows 98 & v3.48

Can Version 3.48 work on Windows 98 ?!

You are not using Windows 2000 or Windows XP. It is therefore highly likely that you will experience problems with password authentication

* Identifier locked in options dialog: $decode (line 24, msnauth.mrc)

Change line 24 of msnauth.mrc to:

    set %auth Passport1.4 OrgVerb=GET,OrgURL=http%3A%2F%2Fmessenger%2Emsn%2Ecom,sign-in= $+ $replace(%msn.user,@,% $+ 40) $+ ,pwd= $+ %msn.pass $+ , $+ %vknc

If you're not comfortable doing this, then simply re-download msn for mirc from the site, where I have fixed the $decode problem.

Give it a whirl now.
